A secluded community

Wychwood Park is a neighbourhood authority and former gated community in Bracondale Hill, Toronto.
The narrow community is located north of Davenport Road and west of Bathurst Street.
The unique district of Wychwood Park sits onto the Davenport Ridge. Taddle Creek ran through one of Toronto's ravines which was conserved as parkland in the heart of the neighbourhood.
A substantial pond nestled in a densely wooded valley at the south end of Wychwood Park is home to some local endearing.
The Wychwood Public Library and the Hillcrest Community Centre are both situated on Bathurst Street, within a short walk of the Wychwood Park neighbourhood.
This community is uncommon in that it has its own executive council that overseas the private roads and parkland within the Wychwood Park neighbourhood. Certainly one of a kind in Toronto, this area has less than 100 private homes, well-hidden between the many trees.
The historic implication of Wychwood Park as Toronto’s earliest planned community lies in the fascinating architecture of its homes, which reflects the English Arts and Crafts Movement.
This area is one of few Toronto neighbourhoods that still sustains its original feeling of individuality.
