
The township of Wilmot
The Township of Wilmot is a small municipality in the Region of Waterloo in southwestern Ontario.
The township is nestled along the banks of the Nith River. Wilmot consists of the towns of New Hamburg and Baden and the smaller communities of St. Agatha, Petersburg, Mannheim, New Dundee, Philipsburg, Shingletown, Wilmot Centre, Haysville, Luxemburg, Lisbon, Sunfish Lake and Foxboro Green.
Punkeydoodles Corners is an unincorporated hamlet located in the township of Wilmot, the hamlet also mounts the municipal boundaries with East Zorra – Tavistock and Perth East, placing it in three different counties.
A major freight and passenger rail line is situated along Wilmot Township. In Kitchener, less than 20 minutes away, VIA and GO Transit service is available.
