A lucrative real estate spot, Humber Valley Village was developed as part of the Home Smith and Company's survey of the Humber Valley.

The nearly 3000 acres of landed included the building of the Humber Valley Village neighbourhood, Kingsway, Baby Point, Old Mill and Princess Anne Gardens-Manor neighbourhoods.

The first homes were built in the 30s and by the 60s was an established neighbourhood in the city of Toronto.
