The Don Valley Village neighbourhood was established in the 60s and 70s yet the pre-subdivision history of this area dates back to the early 1800's, when Don Valley Village was covered with a number of small farming hamlets.
In 1963, Consolidated Building Corporation revitalized a large part of Don Valley Village advertising three bedroom homes and trade in's for current residences.
In the 70s one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, Fairview Mall, was constructed becoming the first multi-level shopping experience in metropolitan Toronto.
The neighbourhood is notable for being well connected to the city as well as suburban regions of Ontario, due to two major intersecting highways as well as the TTC access
