Hospice Huronia TREE OF REMEMBRANCE 2016
Hospice Huronia runs a memorial fundraiser annually in support of families who have experienced the loss of a loved one by selling tags for the TREE OF REMEMBRANCE and thereby taking an opportunity to remember loved ones over the holiday season. This fundraiser helps Hospice Huronia raise much needed funding for our programs specific to bereavement.
The holiday season is fast approaching. Christmas is just days away. For many, this is the most exciting time of the year. We bake, we shop, and we wrap in anticipation of wonderful times when families and friends gather together. For some, however, the holiday season can be filled with loneliness. It is a time of year when we remember loved ones that have died and can no longer share our happy times.
Hospice Huronia is a charitable organization that supports individuals and families living with life threatening illness or bereavement. We know how hard it can be to cope with holidays while facing serious illness or still grieving. Coping with grief does mean remembering. Each light placed on the trees represents a beacon of love and hope.
