New Toronto is a neighbourhood and former town in Toronto, Ontario. It is situated in the south-west of Toronto, along Lake Ontario.
New Toronto is belted by Lake Ontario to the south, with a western boundary of Twenty-Third Street (south of Lake Shore Blvd. West) and the gist between Twenty-Second and Twenty-Fourth Streets (north of Lake Shore Blvd. West), the Canadian National Railway mainline to the north, and Dwight Avenue to the east. The neighbourhood of Mimico is to the east and the neighbourhood of Long Branch is to the west.
New Toronto is now a neighbourhood in conversion, as the industrial corridor occupying the north end of the area is being redeveloped after having been vacant for many years. Industry that gently moved out of New Toronto over the years is now being re-established, in addition to institutional uses.
