
A Small County With Lots To Do
Prince Edward County is located in Southern Ontario on a large irregular headland at the eastern end of Lake Ontario, just west of the head of the St. Lawrence River.
At a population of less than 30,000, Prince Edward County is one of the smaller counties in Ontario. Prince Edward County’s largest community is Picton, although its population is less than 5,000.
Despite its small population, Prince Edward County is a very popular destination for tourists, due to its wide variety of attractions, including wineries, beaches, and popular restaurants. Many of Prince Edward County’s popular beaches are located in Sandbanks Provincial Park and North Beach Provincial Park, which combine to attract more than 600,000 visitors annually.
