
The Region of Peel
Peel is a district of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in Ontario, Canada. It is located to the north and northwest of the City of Toronto, bordered by the region of York to the east and the region of Halton to the West. The Peel region is made up of three municipalities: Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon.
The Peel Region is the second largest municipality in Ontario after the City of Toronto and it is a part of the Golden Horseshoe. It is a region of the GTA that is very diverse and it has an excellent transportation infrastructure (the Toronto Pearson International Airport is located in the Peel Region as well as seven 400-series highways). Some of the main attractions in the Peel Region include its great museums, its many shopping malls, Wild Water Kingdom, the Living Arts Centre, the Playdium and the Brampton Fall Fair.
