Mount Dennis is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario. It is encompassed by ravine and parkland and is adjoined on the west by the Humber River and on the east by the Black Creek.
Eglinton Avenue West is a major transportation aisle within Mount Dennis.
The main Mount Dennis shopping district is situated on Weston Road. A few small shopping plazas are also located along Jane Street taking in a good mix of stores.
Mount Dennis has ample parkland. Jasper Park and Noble Park, situated in the in the middle of the neighbourhood, Westlake Memorial Park, placed off Jaspar Avenue, is named after the Westlake brothers, Thomas, Albert and George who died during World War II. Eglinton Flats is a spectacular greenspace of ample open parkland split into four areas by Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue. It has paved pathways, a broad pond, picnic benches, sports fields and twelve tennis courts.
The neighbourhood's 60-year-old library, a division of the Toronto Public Library system, reinstated in 2013 after vast improvements. Situated at Weston Rd. and Eglinton Ave. the new facility was arranged to be a community hub and is seen by some to follow the expanding nature of the neighbourhood.
