Denise Gracias is a self-taught emerging Toronto artist experienced in a variety of media, including pencil, charcoal, coloured pencils, pastels, watercolours, and acrylics. Currently, she works primarily with acrylics to express her faith in God by bringing Biblical scenes to life, that invoke a personal connection to her, as well as re-creating landscapes that have touched her emotionally and spiritually.

Seeing God as the Supreme Artist, she paints acrylic landscapes of places where she was in awe of the beauty of creation and felt part of the magnificent creation. Viewers are invited to view creation as a spectator as well as an integral part of that creation. Displaying vast open spaces offering solitude, viewers are given the opportunity to confront their aloneness, and dialogue with the God who created them too out of love.
Her landscapes can be characterized as peaceful and quiet escapes, offering joy and encouragement. Viewers are invited to step in, confront and look beyond themselves.

This current exhibition showcases several spiritual landscapes from the country in which she lives (Canada) and the country which she called home for three years.
