The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure 2016
On October 2nd at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure, over one hundred thousand people came together in communities across Canada in support of our shared vision of a future without breast cancer. Participants, donors, volunteers, community partners, and sponsors – together we raised an estimated $17 million. This amazing achievement will directly impact those affected by breast cancer. Your support helps us continue to invest in ground-breaking breast cancer research and to provide and grow the largest breast cancer patient support network in Canada, ensuring no one has to face breast cancer alone.
Nader Sadek, Brampton Run Director highlighted that the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - CIBC Run for the Cure is the largest single-day, volunteer-led event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause, it is a 5k or 1k walk or run that raises funds for Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. As breast cancer continues to be the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Canadian women and touches the lives of so many families every day, the CIBC Run for the Cure gives families, friends, and supporters the opportunity to join together in honouring their loved ones, and making a real difference. Nader also added that The Brampton Run site at the Powerade Center was an inspirational day and brought together an incredible Brampton community
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - CIBC Run for the Cure team thanks all Participants, Fundraisers, Runners and Volunteers for their passion and dedication to this cause and look forward to seeing you at next year’s Run on Sunday, October 1, 2017.
