Peterborough Choir’s Christmas Tea a Resounding Success
On December 10, 2016, the Kawartha Music Company Chorus, a women’s a capella choir held a Christmas Tea and Singalong at Trinity United Church on Reid St. Guests from near and far were treated to tea served by the chorus, as well as sandwiches and sweets. Several raffle prizes and silent auction items were won, and a wide selection of songs sung by both Kawartha Music Company and special guests the Aces of Harmony, Peterborough’s men’s a capella choir.
Festive decorations sparkled as the audience sang along to beloved Christmas songs. It was a thrill to see an auditorium full of bright and smiling faces of all ages enjoying the carol singalong. The audience could also be heard joining in with the Kawartha Music Company and the Aces of Harmony during their respective performances.
A total of $500 from ticket sales, raffle prizes and silent auction items was donated to Kawartha Food Share, who collects and distributes food to local charities serving those in need in the City and County of Peterborough.
