Castleton United Church Roast Pork Dinner Fundraiser

Another successful fundraiser was held by the congregation of the Castleton United Church at 1815 Percy Street in Castleton. Approximately 200 people enjoyed the delicious meal of roast pork, mashed potatoes & gravy, squash, other vegetables such as peas, corn,mixed veggies and baked beans along with coleslaw & applesauce & pickles on Saturday, October 29th. Homemade desserts of pies, trifle and carrot cake along with fruit & cheese were served.

While folks waited their turn to partake of the delicious food, local musician, Erich Bojarzin entertained them with various music from such artists as the Eagles, Bob Dylan, Tim McGraw, Dave Matthews Band, Neil Young.

The money raised from the meal will go towards the ongoing costs of the church. In the past year, a steel roof was installed, the sanctuary was painted and new carpeting was installed. Services are held every Sunday at 9:15 am. All are Welcome to attend!
