Did you know that the Niagara River is a designated IBA - "Important Birding Area" for gulls and waterfowl. The Niagara River has one of the largest concentrations and diversities of gulls in the world and birders "flock" to the river every winter from all across Ontario, New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey and elsewhere to experience this phenomena. This outing is lead by esteemed birder Kayo Roy who is also the co-author of the book "Niagara Birds." Dress warmly and bring your lunch. The meeting place is the control structure on the Niagara Parkway adjacent to the second entrance of Dufferin Islands. Everyone welcome.
