Dundas Valley Orchestra "Music from the Lands of the Midnight Sun" Concert

On Sunday afternoon May 27, 2018 the Dundas Valley Orchestra performed their spring concert "Lands of the Midnight Sun" at St. Paul's United Church in Dundas Ontario. Guest Horn Soloist Iris Krizmanic performed Lars-Erik Larsson's Concertino for Horn, op.45 No.5 with the orchestra. Other music included winner of the DVO Student Composer Competition Amy Brandon's Three Portraits; DVO resident composter Mark Thomas's Farewell my friends from his "Celebration Suite"; Johan Halvorsen's Entry of the Boyars op.17; Micah Thomas"s Einherjar; and Peter Tchaikovsky's Symphony N0.2 "The Little Russian".
The DVO would like to thank all our volunteers for their support in helping make this concert possible.
We invite everyone to join us for our Musical Cafe Fundraiser on June 8, 2018 at The Horn of Plenty and Grupetto 24 King Street West in Dundas.
