Riverdale is an entrance neighborhood to Toronto's east-end neighborhoods. It is located from the Don River valley in west to Pape Avenue in the east and south of the Danforth to the lakeshore.
This neighborhood is dignified with plentiful of parkland where one can escape the rush of big city living.
Riverdale has a marvelous blend of Edwardian era homes, stores, independent galleries and industrial buildings.
The CN Railway divides the area into two districts, North Riverdale which is mainly residential except of the Gerrard Square Mall and The Danforth and South Riverdale (also known as the Riverside District).
Riverdale is a widely multicultural neighborhood presently allowing gentrification on Queen St. East and Broadview Ave.
