When people put into words of "Old Markham" or "Main Street" this is generally the area beginning at the intersection of Hwy. 7 and Hwy. 48 (also called Main Street) and then travels north to Sixteenth Ave. There are lots of streets enclosing Main Street the area is mostly known for its assemblage of old homes, shops and restaurant. This part of Main Street is coated with original, historical buildings and homes. Everything from freshly baked pies to high-end jewelry and fine clothing boutiques can be found here.
