Monthly Art Shows in a Unique Venue!
Newcomers to Longbranch, Home & Condo Market Brokerage, have recently opened their doors to a unique open concept sales venue on Lake Shore Blvd West at Thirty Sixth St. Visitors will experience a very different approach to Real Estate. The office is designed for walk in traffic so there is no waiting for assistance. Interactive visual tools and access to real time information is at your disposal. Home & Condo Market is staffed daily with Realtors trained in both new and resale properties. Home & Condo Market is also the venue for monthly art shows featuring local and nearby artists. The Inaugural event happened on February 11th and 12th and featured the works of Judyta Bil and Juan Giraldo. Both artists are local to Longbranch, and yet have very diverse style unto themselves. Judyta Bil was born in Poland and studied Fine Arts in Warsaw. Judyta is not only a highly trained painter, but also an accomplished sculptor. Her works have been exhibited in Italy, Netherlands and Poland. Her recent achievements include restoration of statues for St. Michael’s Cathedral. Juan Giraldo, originating from Medellin in Colombia, got the art bug at a very young age and became a self-made artist by the time he reached early adulthood. His latino roots are evident in his use of bold bright colors in his vibrant works of art. There is no doubt that Juan’s heart and soul share the same passion for art. The works continue to be on display for the month of February, and until the installation of next’s months feature artists. So it’s never too late to visit. There will always be art on display for the community’s enjoyment. Save the Date! Next Art Show and Sale will be held on March 25th and 26th from 11-5pm. Feature works include local Blair Richard Martin. A must see for vintage style art of Toronto. Blair Richard Martin has spent a lifetime in the arts. He has been a professional musician since the age of 19 and left his mark on the local rock'n'roll scene as lead singer and main song-writer with the legendary Raving Mojos and in the 1990s. Most recently he has ventured further into the visual arts with his work as a painter. His work exhibits a distinct sense of shape, form and color as well as a knowledge and understanding of art history, cinema and visual composition. Blair has already shown in his first two solo shows, and is a regular in group art shows around the city. His Vintage style depicting old Toronto images is a must see!!
