Amanda Hale presents her latest novel, Mad Hatter, set in WW2 England and based on the experience of her own family as a result of our father’s internment under Defence Regulation 18B. The novel is a fictionalized account drawing on extensive research, family stories (notoriously unreliable!), the author's own childhood emotional memory, and imagined scenes and dialogues emanating from said research.
