Having good credit is important for all Canadians. Understanding how to build and maintain good credit history can be a challenge for most people. Developed for newcomers to Canada, this workshop will introduce participants to the Canadian credit system and how it works. It will cover topics tips on credit reporting agencies and their role (Equifax and TransUnion), understanding credit reports and scores, loans and credit cards. It will also offer practical tips on managing debt and avoiding bad credit decisions, protecting personal data from scams and fraud.
