St. George’s Cathedral Summer Concerts
St. George’s Cathedral Summer Concerts continue on Thursday August 16 from 12:15pm to 12:50pm with a performance by Toronto guitarist Warren Nicholson. The program will feature music by Spanish and North and South American composers, including Albeniz, Barrios, Tarrega, Peros, and Pritsker. The concerts continue every Thursday through August 30. Admission is free, with a freewill offering collected. The Cathedral is at 270 King St. E. (at Johnson) in Kingston. Nicholson won the 1997 “Artists Internal Auditions” in NYC, leading to a Carnegie Recital Hall Debut in 1998. In 2013, he released: “Latin American Guitar Favourites” for solo guitar, on CD and I tunes. He currently teaches privately and runs a guitar programs for both “Arthouse” in Oakville Ontario, and The City of Burlington.
