
BEER RE-SIGNS WITH HAMILTON
Hamilton Cardinals’ general manager Dean Dicenzo announced today the re-signing of middle infielder Chris Beer for the 2017 Intercounty Baseball League season.
Beer, a native of Burlington, enters his fifth season with the Cardinals, appearing in 104 regular and postseason games. Over that time, he has amassed a batting average of .228 with 24 extra base hits, including five homeruns.
In 2015, he was selected to represent Hamilton at the IBL All-Star game
Last season Beer had 26 hits and drove in 17 runs during the regular season, both were IBL career highs.
Hamilton will open the 99th Intercounty Baseball League season on Saturday May 13th when they travel to Guelph to face the Royals at David Hastings Stadium starting at 2:00 PM.
