Jesse Wente is an Anishinaabe writer, broadcaster, arts leader and now memoirist. Wente’s memoir/manifesto, Unreconciled, draws on personal reflection to start a discussion about how to shape a respectful relationship between the nation of Canada and Indigenous peoples. Join the author and interviewer Meaghan Strimas as they parse the personal, historical and future of reconciliation.

By the Lake Book Club returns for its 14th Season! Join talented past and present members of Humber College’s faculty, as they dive into conversation with our authors, guiding lively discussions and moderating audience questions. The program is now being offered for both in-person attendance, as well as online viewing. Each in-person event includes a reading, discussion, audience Q&A, book-signing, and ASL interpretation. Virtual events feature live subtitles and offer online viewing only.
