Naben Ruthnum’s unnervingly palpable novel, A Hero of Our Time, explores race, capitalism, education and technology within a compelling story. Join the author in conversation with interviewer Antanas Sileika as they delve into this ironic look at some of today’s most discussed topics.

By the Lake Book Club returns for its 14th Season! Join talented past and present members of Humber College’s faculty, as they dive into conversation with our authors, guiding lively discussions and moderating audience questions. The program is now being offered for both in-person attendance, as well as online viewing. Each in-person event includes a reading, discussion, audience Q&A, book-signing, and ASL interpretation. Virtual events feature live subtitles and offer online viewing only.
