We are kicking off Ontario Public Library Week (Oct 18-24) and wrapping up Culture Days (Sep 25-Oct 25) with the launch of an exciting new author series. Meet authors online, listen to selections from their works, learn of their journeys, and answer your questions live. This program is sponsored by the Canada Council through The Writers' Union of Canada.

This month, let’s meet Waubgeshig Rice.

Waubgeshig Rice is an author and journalist from Wasauksing First Nation on Georgian Bay. He has written three fiction titles, and his short stories and essays have been published in numerous anthologies. His most recent novel, Moon of the Crusted Snow, was published in 2018 and became a national bestseller. He graduated from Ryerson University’s journalism program in 2002, and spent the bulk of his journalism career at CBC. He lives in Sudbury, Ontario with his wife and two sons. He’ll be joining us to discuss Moon of the Crusted Snow and how stories like it relate to the pandemic.
