
Canada 150 "A Musical Celebration" Dundas Valley Orchestra
On Sunday May 28, 2017 The Dundas Valley Orchestra had a musical celebration in Dundas Driving Park culminating with a concert in St. Paul's United Church. Partnered with the Orchestra were a number of community music groups including Steve Parton and the Relics, Hamilton Youth Steel Orchestra, Dundas Concert Band, Dundas Pipes and Drums,Raspberry, Pickles & Ham, Avalon Students, WomEnchant Drummers, Big Brass Theory, Babbage Industries, 5th Annual Young Composer Winner Timo Pehkonen, and Doug Miller & Eric Mahar on Flute & Guitar. In addition the Dundas Valley School of Art set up interactive activities for children in the park.
The weather cooperated and music was performed at the Dundas Driving Park in the bandshell as well as a tent. The Dundas Pipes and Drums piped the guests from the park to the concert later in St. Paul's United Church.
