Now a MUSIC & DANCE CLUB for those 40+ in YORK REGION!
York Region has its own unique Music & Dance Club catering to the ever growing segment of today’s population the 40+ Generation
Diana Finch, founder of the club and long term resident of York Region, found a void in Venues offering Music and Dancing catering to the 40+ segment of the population. In looking for a night out, she and her friends had to head to Toronto, which is expensive, time consuming and parking is always a problem she noted.
Finch created the 40+ Club to be a more upscale, local, friendly and community based, all intended to make meeting people easy and safe. And if this community enough, she’s making Local Food Banks an intricate part of their evenings, by raising funds by various methods during the evening. “Everyone feels good about helping and we’re in a position together to make a difference, says Finch”
Music is the underpinning of the evenings events, where she often uses the leading band “PLANB LIVE©” with their Old School Played Cool slogan, which says it all. “They deliver pure entertainment for our generation says Finch”, R&R, Rockabilly, Country as was enjoyed last Friday night at Hogan’s “Hunt Pub” in King City.
“Our plans are big, we’re just getting this new Club off the ground and learning as we go. We intend to make it everything the folks of York want, but Couples & Singles. Our key mantra is Fun, Safe, Convenient, Affordable and Memorable” and we will deliver! “We’re working with various venues that meet the criteria we’re promising so as the weeks go forward, more events and fun twists will be announced”.
The first event was held last Saturday evening at Hogan’s “Hunt Pub” in King City. It was a great evening for all 70 people who turned out to groove to the music, dance and eat. “By the end of the evening, people who came in alone, where changing tables, socializing, dancing and exchanging numbers, “that was exactly what we were nurturing and hoping would happen” said Finch. The evening delivered the fantastic high energy entertainment of PlanB Live©, they started at 9:15 and played until 1:30am, with patrons wanting more. The 40+ Music & Dance Club hosted the evening, kept the Party going and held regular Draws for those in attendance which included, bottles of Wine, a $50 Gift Card to Hogan’s Restaurant and VIP Passes with a host of perks. “The Evening was a tremendous success, met every expectation we had and more. We were repeatedly told, finally a place to go in the north part of the city with the music and dancing we like. We know the concept is exactly what York Region wants” said Finch.
