A colourful community.
Cabbagetown is one of the most northeastern neighbourhoods of downtown Toronto and it is located north of Regent Park, south of St. James Town and west of Riverdale.
The residents of Cabbagetown have a strong sense of community and pride in their neighbourhood. It is a community that has a very distinct personality with residents of varying backgrounds. It is a very colourful area of Toronto, full of beautiful Victorian houses that has undergone a lot of gentrification over the past few decades.
Every year, visitors from all over the GTA come to Cabbagetown for its festivals. The Cabbagetown Fall Festival is a lovely weekend long festival in September in which there is a parade, an arts and crafts fair and a community wide yard sale. The Cabbagetown Short Film & Video Festival is another popular annual festival that attracts international visitors to Toronto while the annual Forsythia festival is another festival full of games and activities for the whole family.
