From Nirvana to Eminem and everything in between Riverdale's The Opera House is famous for hosting a variety of acts from diverse genres over the last 25 years.

The 12,000 square feet theatre is among the most popular of Toronto's intimate music venues retaining much of its classic vaudeville architecture as well as cinema past.

Following the decline of vaudeville entertainment in the early third of the 20th century, The Opera House saw many costume changes mostly as movie theatres.

La Plaza during the 30s and unofficially the Acropolis throughout the 60s. During the 80s the theatre also hosted musicals like Mama, I Want to Sing! before being converted into a music venue in 90s.

The theatre can also be booked for a variety of events including shoots for movies, television and commercials.
