The Region of Waterloo

Waterloo Region located in Southern Ontario spanning the townships of North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich, is dotted with many specific towns and historic communities. Each of the cities offer its own unique glamour and style with boutique shops, farmers' markets, a variety of restaurants and thriving public squares.

It is often mentioned as the Region of Waterloo or just Waterloo Region. It is a mid-sized community with all the luxuries of a large urban centre along with the charm and character of a smaller rural community.
A unique novelty of the area is that it is home to Ontario's first CarSharing organization, Community CarShare (also known as Grand River CarShare). Community CarShare supports access to vehicles on a self serve pay per use basis, based in many neighbourhoods around the Region.

Waterloo is one of the fastest growing regions in Southwestern Ontario its population is progressively diverse owing to its nearness to the Greater Toronto Area as well as its status as a technology hub.
