
The city of Waterloo
Waterloo is a city in Southern Ontario. It is the smallest of the three cities in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, together with Kitchener and Cambridge, forming a tightly-integrated metro area.
The downtown heart of the City of Waterloo is a vital core area that boasts more than 400 businesses and a scurrying public square.
Kitchener and Waterloo are often referred together to as "Kitchener-Waterloo", "KW", or "the Tri-City" to include the City of Cambridge.
The most representative tributary of Grand River within the city is Laurel Creek, whose source lies just to the west of the city limits and its mouth just to the east, and crosses much of the city's central areas including the University of Waterloo lands and Waterloo Park.
Many technology companies have branch offices here. They thrive is due to the decency of the University of Waterloo, which boasts the largest math and computer science undergraduate program in the world and psychology program.
