
Over 1,300 cyclists already registered for the 9th annual Tour de Mississauga
Registration for the 9th annual Tour de Mississauga community cycling event has already reached over 1,300 participants who are looking to jump onto their bicycles, strap on their helmets and take the City of Mississauga by storm.
Celebrated by thousands of cyclists of all skill levels each year, the Tour de Mississauga has grown to be a “Can’t Miss” event that is set to take place on Sunday, September 18th, 2016 at the Mississauga Celebration Square from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This year’s Tour will be emceed by Jake Dheer, Senior Manager for Rogers TV and OMNI Television at Rogers Media Inc. and will feature a number of new features including enhanced route markings, more support staff, a variety of vendors, more EMS staff onsite, and an improved BBQ.
"We are honoured to have been selected by the Mississauga Cycling Advisory Committee to partner with the City of Mississauga to execute this year's Tour de Mississauga event and we are excited to execute another great cycling event with upgrades that will be sure to please our participants,” said Glenn Gumulka, Executive Director of SustainMobility.”
This year’s Tour de Mississauga will offer a choice of rides ranging from beginner and family rides (15 km, 30 km, 50 km) to more advanced rides for experienced cyclists or those looking for a challenge (80 km, 100 km, 120km).
