Dundas Celebration Choir January 28,2018

On Sunday afternoon January 28, 2018 The Dundas Valley Orchestra performed opera favourites with the Dundas Celebration Singers, and guest artists Steve Burditt, Euphonium; Tessa Victoria Laengert,soprano; Rebecca Cuddy,mezzo soprano; Jennifer McKillop, soprano; and Amelia McNiven Fontana, violin HAAlSA Young Musician Award winner.

The music included La Gazza Ladra Overture( The Thieving Magpie) by Rossini; Handel's Largo from Xerxes, Carmen Suite No.1 by Bizet; Saint-Saens' Violin concerto No.3; Arias from Mozart,Puccini, and Lakme(the Flower Drum Song) by Delibes.

The Celebration Choir performed Coro a bocce chiusa (the Singing Chorus) from Madame Butterfly; Coro di Zingari from Il Trovatore; The Matador Chorus from La Traviata.

The DVO would like to thank all of our guest artists for a lovely afternoon of beautiful music.
