Beach Guild of Fine Arts supports "Artie"

The Beach Guild of Fine Art raised $284 from our raffle for "Artie" at the Small Paintings for Small Spaces show at the Gardener's Cottage in May.

"Artie", or Bev Campbell as we know her, volunteers with a variety of organizations such as Dixon Hall, Fred Victor and Seaton House as well as individuals she meets along the way. She collects art materials for two women's drop-in art groups. She offers opportunities for people who are homeless to create art.

We all know that art is a healing activity. BGFA is thrilled to help "Artie" provide positive experiences for people whose lives may be challenging.

At our next meeting, June 29 from 7 - 8:30 pm at the Beach United Church, 140 Wineva Ave. we will be presenting the cheque to "Artie".
