A neighbourhood breaking down borders

Fairbank Village is a lively neighbourhood of Toronto and it is located in an area of Toronto that was formerly known as the city of York. The heart of Fairbank Village lies at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street. From there, it extends west to the CN Railway lines, east to Oakwood Avenue and roughly from Briar Hill Avenue in the north to St. Clair Avenue West in the south. Fairbank Village is located close to Englinton West subway station as well as Black Creek, Highway 401 and the Allen Expressway making it an ideal location of both businesses and residents. There are six distinct communities within this neighbourhood and they all have their own unique identities: Caledonia, North Fairbank, Belgravia, Briar Hill, York-Eglinton and Little Jamaica.

Fairbank Village is a very cute and largely unexplored neighbourhood of Toronto. It is mostly made up of small family homes of one to two storeys set into a landscape of beautiful rolling hills and many quaint one-way streets. However, what truly lends this area its unique flavour is its mix of people from Latin America, the Philippines, the Caribbean, Africa and Europe.
