A Green Neighbourhood
Bayview Village is a prosperous neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario. Formerly in North York before it was incorporated into Toronto in 1998.
The area is bordered on the north by Finch Avenue East, on the west by Bayview Avenue, on the east by Leslie Street, and on the south by Highway 401. Along the rambled streets various trees are planted, the design and layout of Bayview Village is very much formed by the East Don Valley Parklands. Nearly a quarter of the space in the village is green and some of the Bayview Village houses feature views of the Valley Parklands.
The blend of housing here includes raised and executive homes most of which are original. The western edge of the East Don Parklands draft its way through the centre of Bayview Village and is a boundless green haven with various trails, walkways and bicycle paths. There are many smaller parks in the village. Blue Ridge Park, Clarinda Park and Bayview Village Park are child-focused, with baseball diamonds, splash pads and playgrounds.
