Downsview is an area in the north end of Toronto, situated in the district of North York.
Downsview has many landmarks including Yorkdale Shopping Center, the Allen Expressway and Downsview Park which is situated on the former Canadian Forces Base land and is Canada’s only national urban park.
Yorkdale Shopping Center is well located at Dufferin/The Allen Expressway and the 401 highway. The indoor shopping mall attracts shoppers from all over Toronto to its high profile retail stores.
Within the area is Downsview Airport which has been entirely owned and used as a testing facility by Bombardier Aerospace since 1994.
The Downsview Arena at 1630 Wilson Avenue attempts public skating and hockey league programs to the local community. To the south of the arena is the Downsview Lawn Bowling Green.
