The Moneky's Paws bookstore

A dynamic business and retail hub serving Toronto's Portuguese community, Little Portugal stretches across the lower half of Brockton Village and a portion of the neighbouring Trinity- Bellwoods. Developing over the course of three decades in the latter half of the 20th century, Little Portugal is identifiable by its charming European cafes, unique ceramics and custom furniture stores, colourful boutiques and bakeries. Notable business in the area include The Monkey's Paw bookstore that specializes in books of eclectic, odd or miscellaneous genres and bakeries Nova Era Bakery and Caldense Bakery known for their rivalry over the best Pasteis de Nata (Portuguese custard tart) in the city. The region is also home to McCormick Park (known for its youth programs) which houses the McCormick Recreation Centre and Arena.
