Che's Place Youth Centre Officially Opened In Bolton

Che’s Place is Bolton’s new Youth Centre and honours the spirit, memory, and life of Francesco Molinaro.

Known to close friends and family as “Che” , Francesco Molinaro’s life was tragically taken May 21, 2016 in Wasaga Beach. Francesco had an immeasurable impact on the youth of Bolton. An outstanding young man, his untimely and senseless death left the community with immense emptiness and in deep sorrow. It also brought the community together – Bolton’s youth in particular – who were relentless in initiating and taking ownership in Che’s Place in order to establish a lasting legacy.

Hundreds gathered for the grand opening on Sunday, February 5th which honoured Molinaro as well as Erick Tello who was also tragically taken from friends and family in separate incident in Wasaga Beach.

Bolton's first-ever completely volunteer-run youth centre (some 2,500 square feet in size featuring a music room, work out equipment, big-screen TV, and plenty of room to lounge) is now open Thursdays from 6 to 10 p.m., Fridays from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturdays from noon to 1 a.m. and Sundays from noon to 10 p.m. While targeting youth aged 13 -18, Che’s Place is open to all – a safe, friendly, positive environment to meet, gather, and more. ...30 Martha Street (lower level) in Bolton.

Che’s Place - Mission Statement: At Che's Place we encourage youth to develop confidence and self-esteem enabling to face the future with a positive outlook. Che’s is their place to call home, welcoming all with care and respect. Having our youth leading and participating in community events and issues will give them opportunities and experience in working with others, help them to voice their opinions, and allow them to develop friendships and contacts that will last a lifetime. …“Don’t cry for me; Smile for me”.
