A Revitalized Community

Parkdale is a newly revitalized and trendy neighbourhood in the west end of Toronto. Sandwiched between Liberty Village and High Park, Parkdale stretches from Dufferin Street to Roncesvalles Avenue and from the CP Railway tracks just above Queen Street West to the waterfront of Lake Ontario.

Parkdale is a community that without a doubt has a strong personality. It is an area charged with electricity and it is teeming with galleries, shops, live music venues and many multiethnic restaurants. Most of its residents are either Tibetan, African or Indian immigrants or Toronto hipsters. As businesses have spread west along Queen Street West over the past two decades, it is an area of Toronto that has seen a lot of gentrification. Come to Parkdale and explore some of its many vintage shops, antique furniture stores, fabric shops and bars.
